Parent involvement around the school is highly encouraged. There are many opportunities to share your skills and time including, partnering with the learning programs, supporting on excursions and special activity days, being part of a school parent committee, and helping with sports teams to mention a few.
Parents and Volunteers who are going to have regular ongoing contact with students will require a Child Related Employment Screening through the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion plus have attended a Volunteers induction to ensure their understanding of responsibilities and expectations.
Recent changes to practices around volunteer clearances now allows parents to support with student activities if their child is directly involved. This has made it easier for parents to spend time supporting the school, and enjoying learning with their child.
